Medical Insurance Claims
Please check with your insurance company prior to your admission whether your expenses on your treatment would be covered.
If you intend to claim your medical & hospitalisation bills from your insurance company, please find out from them, the full details of what your policy covers and excludes.
Please read your insurance documents carefully to see what is covered and what is not.
If you have complicated, long standing problems, you may need prolonged hospitalisation to get enough treatment and give your body time to heal. Insurance companies will often only pay for crisis care and do not care if you get well or are pain free and healthy. This is problem you will have to resolve with them.
We are a 14 bed hospital located in a rural area registered with the Aranmula Panchayat.
Most insurance companies cover treatment in hospitals in rural areas with more than 10 beds.
We do not have a cashless facility with any insurance company.
Insurance companies require a separate breakdown of all charges, along with extensive investigations and paperwork for a successful insurance claim.
Patients claiming reimbursement from insurance companies, may not get re-imbursement for pre paid packages.
If you wish to claim insurance opt to be billed at our regular charges. We cannot re bill you at regular charges later.
We can bill you separately, for treatment of any ailments & items that are not covered under your insurance policy.
On admission
Please provide us with any forms your insurance company needs us to fill out for your claim.
Please provide us with the full details of what your policy covers and a letter from your insurance company giving their requirements for your claim.
Pay an advance of Rs 150,000 to cover your expenses during your stay.
Billing. We will bill you weekly at the end of each week. Bills are to be settled on presentation by bank transfer, cash or credit card.
On discharge we provide you with the following documents:
Please collect and carefully read through all necessary documentation regarding your treatment in this hospital before discharge.
Please bring any discrepancies or any recommendations you may be unable to follow to our notice so we can amend and correct them.
If you need any clarifications or need to discuss the recommendations in the discharge discharge summary, please do so, at your next appointment after receiving the summary.
We will be unable to honour requests for documentation or changes in documentation after your discharge.
Access to medical records
If you require your insurance company to contact us for any clarifications after your discharge please provide them with an authority letter with a copy to us authorising them access to your medical records. Please ask them to call us first to take an appointment to see us
before they come too enquire about your claim. We are not able to give them information without a prior appointment or provide them access to your documentation without your consent.
You may request a photocopy of your medical records, 2 days prior to discharge, on payment of Rs 10 per page photocopied.
This may then be shared with your insurance company in case of any queries from them.
We are unable to carry out extensive dealings with your insurance company.

- A summarised bill.
- We provide receipts for all payments made.
- A discharge summary containing a summary of your treatment done in this hospital, and your future course of action for you to recover and maintain your health.
- Copies of the reports of investigations carried out on you.
- A copy of the clinic registration certificate.
- Any forms you have provided us from your insurance company to fill out prior to discharge.
- Any other documentation requested by you on admission.
- Refund of your deposit or any excess money paid.
